Before the operation

Once your treatment plan has been established, we guide you thoroughly through the entire preparation process leading up to the day of surgery. We review factors such as medications, supplements, and other considerations that may affect bleeding, healing, and the final outcome.
Depending on the treatment, the surgery may be performed under local or general anesthesia; this is determined on an individual basis during the initial consultation. On the day of surgery, you will be welcomed by our team, and the surgeon will carefully mark the area to ensure the treatment is precisely tailored to your anatomy and facial features.


During the operation

During the procedure, the incision is placed discreetly—either just below the lash line or hidden on the inner side of the eyelid—depending on your anatomy and specific needs. Excess fatty tissue is removed or repositioned, and the skin is gently tightened if necessary to create a smoother, more harmonious appearance.
The entire procedure is performed with great precision and respect for the eye's natural anatomy. The goal is always a result that provides a more rested and refreshed look without altering your natural facial expressions.


After the surgery

You can usually go home on the same day as the surgery. During the first few days, it is normal to experience swelling, a sensation of tightness, and bruising around the eyes; this is a natural part of the healing process.
We recommend taking it easy, keeping your head slightly elevated, and gently cooling the area as instructed. The swelling will gradually subside, and the area under the eyes will eventually take on a calmer, smoother, and more rested appearance.
The result develops gradually as the tissue settles, and we monitor you closely throughout the process to ensure you always feel at ease.


Medical tattooing for scars and nipple Reconstruction

We collaborate with Medicinsk Tatovering, specialists in medical tattooing for scar camouflage and nipple-areola reconstruction following breast surgery. Treatments are available in Ringsted, with consultations and treatments also offered in Albertslund every other week. As a Caolín patient, you receive a 10% discount when you inform them that you had your surgery with us.

MEDICAL TATTOING FOR SCARS AND NIPPLE RECONSTRUCTION

For the upper eyelid, the scar is placed in the natural crease of the eyelid. For the lower eyelid, the scar is placed either just below the eyelashes or on the inside.

The scar follows the natural lines of the eye and often becomes inconspicuous over time.

On the upper eyelids, it is typically possible to remove more skin, whereas the lower eyelids often involve addressing bags and tightening.

Most people see a clear improvement after a few weeks, but the final result appears gradually over months.
