Dr. Bo Sonnich Rasmussen is a distinguished board-certified plastic surgeon and is regarded as one of Northern Europe’s leading specialists in cosmetic breast surgery. He holds a PhD in breast reconstruction using stem-cell–enriched fat grafting and is one of Denmark’s most highly recognized researchers in this field.

With more than ten years of experience from Rigshospitalet and Herlev University Hospital, as well as previous positions at Aleris Hamlet, Amalieklinikken, and AK Nygart, Bo has built solid expertise in both reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery.

Bo is a specialist in implant revision and revision of complex cases, and he is also a
highly skilled surgeon for facelifts, deep neck surgery, lip lifts, and eyelid surgery, as well as gynecomastia and cosmetic ear surgery. Through his research, he has made significant contributions to the development of stem-cell–enriched fat grafting and is considered a pioneer in this field.

He has authored numerous articles in leading journals and is a popular speaker at international conferences. In addition, he has spent several years teaching medical students and future plastic surgery specialists and has supervised PhD students at Rigshospitalet.

Bo serves on the board of the Danish Society of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery and is also a member of the Danish Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as the Danish Microsurgical Society.
