With age, the skin gradually loses some of its natural hydration, suppleness and elasticity. This can show as dryness, fine lines, less glow and skin that no longer feels as firm and vital as it once did. Profhilo is an advanced injectable treatment that works with the skin's own regeneration and helps rebuild hydration, firmness and quality from within.
Unlike traditional fillers, Profhilo does not add volume or change the contours of the face. Instead, the treatment works with the structure of the skin and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, so the skin gradually becomes more supple, smooth and radiant.
At Caolín, we work with a natural, long-term focus on skin improvement. The aim is not to change your features but to give your skin the best conditions to look healthy, fresh and balanced.

Unlike traditional fillers, Profhilo does not add volume or change the contours of the face. Instead, the treatment works with the structure of the skin and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, so the skin gradually becomes more supple, smooth and radiant.
The treatment itself is gentle and typically takes between 15 and 30 minutes. Profhilo is injected with very fine needles into carefully selected points in the skin using the so-called BAP technique.
For example, the face, neck, décolletage or hands. At your consultation, we go through the areas that could benefit from treatment in your case.
Many people notice the first improvements after 2 to 3 weeks, when the skin starts to feel more hydrated, smooth and supple. For optimal results, two treatments approximately four weeks apart are usually recommended.
The effect typically lasts up to 6 months, depending on skin type, lifestyle and individual factors. With regular maintenance, many people find that the quality of their skin improves even further over time.
Mild redness, small swellings or tenderness around the injection points are normal in the first few hours. There may, however, be mild swelling for up to 24 hours afterwards. You should avoid strenuous physical activity, saunas, heat treatments and firm touching of the area for 4 hours after the treatment.
The process
Every Profhilo treatment at Caolín starts with a thorough, personal consultation. Here we take the time to understand your skin, your wishes and the changes you would like to achieve. Among other things, your practitioner assesses your skin's hydration level, elasticity, texture and overall quality to make sure Profhilo is the right treatment for you.
The indication for treatment must be established at least 48 hours before the first treatment.
Together, we also go through the areas that could benefit from treatment – for example the face, neck, décolletage or hands – and how the treatment can best be integrated into your overall skincare or anti-ageing strategy. We talk openly about realistic expectations, the course of treatment and any options for combining it with other treatments, so you feel fully informed and reassured before we begin.
The treatment itself is gentle and typically takes between 15 and 30 minutes. Profhilo is injected with very fine needles into carefully selected points in the skin using the so-called BAP technique, which ensures optimal distribution of the product in the tissue. Once the hyaluronic acid has been placed in the skin, it gradually begins to spread and activate the skin's own regenerative processes. The treatment stimulates collagen and elastin production and improves the skin's ability to retain moisture.
Most people experience only minimal discomfort during the treatment, although you can expect mild swelling as well as redness and tenderness in the first few hours after the treatment. The swelling typically subsides within 24 hours.
The whole process is quick and precise, and often fits easily into everyday life.
After the treatment, there may be mild redness, swelling or minor bruising at the injection sites. These reactions are to be expected and usually subside within 24-48 hours.
You should avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, touching the area and make-up for the first 4 hours after the treatment.
You will always go home with thorough guidance, so you feel reassured in the days after the treatment, and we are of course available if you have any questions along the way.
